Our Return Promise
We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most items in our collection, including:
- Bevel Edge Chisels and Chisel Sets
- Dovetail Saws and Cutting Tools
- Digital Calipers and Gauges
- Drill Bits and Accessories
- Clamps and Feather Boards
Non-Returnable Items
To maintain quality standards, we cannot accept returns on:
- Diamond Sharpening Products (hygiene reasons)
- Digital Products (once accessed/downloaded)
- Custom or Made-to-Order Items from our Build-It System
- Opened Adhesives or chemical products
Return Conditions
To qualify for a return:
- Item must be unused and in original packaging
- All original tags and protective coatings must be intact
- Proof of purchase is required
- Cabinet scrapers and burnishers must show no signs of use
Step-by-Step Return Process
1. Initiate Your Return
Within 15 days of receiving your order, email us at [email protected] with:
- Your order number
- Product name(s) being returned
- Reason for return
- Whether you prefer exchange or refund
2. Receive Return Authorization
Our Lancaster-based team will respond within 1 business day with:
- Return authorization number
- Shipping instructions
- Return address (86 Penny St, Lancaster, GB LA8C 2HJ)
3. Package and Ship
Securely package your return using the original packaging whenever possible. For delicate tools like chisels or dovetail saws, we recommend additional padding.
4. Processing Your Return
Once received at our workshop, we will:
- Inspect the item within 2 business days
- Process approved returns immediately
- Contact you if there are any issues
Refund Information
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within:
- 3-5 business days for credit card/PayPal payments
- 5-7 business days for bank transfers
Note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error. For exchanges, we’ll cover the cost of shipping the replacement item via standard shipping.
Exchange Process
For exchanges (e.g., different size of dowelling jigs or drill press tables):
- Follow the standard return process above
- Clearly state your desired replacement item
- We’ll ship the new item once the return is received
- Price differences will be refunded/charged as needed
International Returns
For customers outside the UK (excluding restricted regions):
- Return shipping is at customer’s expense
- Mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs fees
- We recommend using tracked services like DHL or FedEx
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged item or incorrect product (e.g., wrong type of chisels or drill bits):
- Contact us immediately with photos of the issue
- We’ll arrange a free return label if needed
- Priority processing for replacement shipping
